Section 1. The following elected officials shall serve one-year terms, Moderator, Treasurer, and Clerk.

Section 2. There shall be three Supervisors of the Checklist who shall be elected by the voters and shall serve three year terms. The terms shall be staggered and no more than one Supervisor of the Checklist shall be elected annually unless a vacancy occurs.

Section 3. The Board of Commissioners shall appoint a person to serve as “acting” Moderator, Treasurer, Clerk or Supervisor of the Checklist in the event that the elected office holder resigns or is unable to fulfill his/her duties. The term of the appointment shall be until the next annual meeting. Notice of the vacancy shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the NCWP, and an announcement of the vacancy shall be made at each meeting of the Board of Commissioners until the Board appoints a person to fill the vacancy. The person appointed must be a registered NCWP voter.
